Blogging Has Become A Phenomenal Trend

Blog News, Blog Platform, Blog Posting, Blog Tools No Comments »

Blogging has become a phenomenal trend of the century with the birth of free web hosting such as WordPress, Blogger, Xanga and LiveJournal. One of the most prominent webs hosting in blogosphere, WordPress is most preferable for its versatility in tutorial posting and editing. Layouts in Wordpress blog are designed by Kubrick, which is also known as Default Theme. Kubrick has been around for years as the main template of WordPress. However, custom theme has soared as the next big thing in WordPress.

Custom theme in WordPress is slowly replacing Kubrick theme as blog layout. Users prefer to customize their blogs to make them outstanding among millions of blogs in the Internet. This especially true for famous and influential bloggers who hired professional IT individuals to encode new CSS and HTML required for new layout design.

Although changing codes might be difficult for beginners, there are various tutorials that can be learned via World Wide Web. With advanced technology, there are even websites that offer to customize blog theme for free. WordPress users take this advantage to revamp the whole layout look. Beautiful and extraordinary layout or theme displayed in the blog is believed to attract more readers and create heavier traffic into the blog. People do this to increase online income through advertising in their blog. Hence, custom theme is preferred as the first step to better layouts for their blogs.

Some people also love to create layouts from scratch. They believed that their layouts need personal touch to make their blog really special and one-of-a-kind. Tutorials in YouTube are big help in such matter. Professional IT individuals sometimes created blogs of their own to spread knowledge about customizing blog layouts. In their blogs, some innovative suggestions are given that makes Kubrick theme seemed so outdated and old- fashioned.

Fresh layouts and themes are also available in design-oriented sites. All WordPress users need to do is downloading the theme that caught their attention. Later on, they just need to upload the custom theme onto their WordPress sites. Such convenience made Kubrick theme less popular because rigid theme is no longer applicable to cyber world that requires constant makeovers.

The smart ones designed more themes to be sold to big companies and famous bloggers as side income. People see this coming as the next revolutionary change in WordPress which created job opportunity for graphic designers. This is why Kubrick theme is much forgotten by users especially to experienced bloggers. In the Internet, you might find plenty of sources to provide new design themes to WordPress blogs.

WordPress documentation and application tabs also makes layout changing less frustrating to many. Instructions are stated for people to follow which makes more users opt for major layout makeover. Some users alter Kubrick theme instead of the old Kubrick theme to make their layouts less boring. However, the downside to Kubrick re-adaptation is sometimes the CSS files are in header files, not in style sheet that might be confusing for beginners. It is not recommended if users want totally different design since altering Kubrick theme means you will still stuck with Kubrick look with minor changes.

Although Kubrick theme has served people as the main theme in WordPress all these years, it is time that people move on to world of creativity and changes. Custom theme is here to stay to dominate WordPress sites unless Kubrick theme changes into a better and more eye-catching theme.

Blog Users Are Graphic Savvy People

Blog Tools, Blogging, Graphics No Comments »

Blog users have turned themselves into graphic- savvy people. Some famous and popular blogs are very distinctive not only their contents and posts but also their designs. Even if you are not an influential blogger, you still prefer to create a blog that portrays your personality. Themes featured in websites are not merely there to decorate sites. They are created to show individuality and personalization. Kubrick theme has become WordPress staple in terms of site theme. However, there are several reasons why custom themes are chosen over Kubrick theme.

The theme chosen is crucial to portray the type of blog you want show to public. Photography blogs adapt more photo- related layout designs than bland and boring theme to show more attitudes. Beauty blogs will of course feature cosmetic-related headers and pastel- coloured layout designs. That is why Kubrick theme is slowly fading from blogging scene. Kubrick theme has simply failed to bring the X- factor in blogs no matter how well the posts are written. People feast their eyes first before reading the contents.

Another reason to the rising popularity of custom theme over Kubrick theme is practicality. Custom theme can be changed many times according to your liking whereas for Kubrick theme, you can only re-adapt it. If it is total makeover that people want, Kubrick theme loses out big time because no matter how you re-adapt the theme, it still retains the Kubrick look. That is a turn- off to many users which explains the declining popularity of Kubrick theme.

For beginners, Kubrick theme is used to start a blog. However, after they are well- versed in site application they might want to change themes for fresher look. People do get bored easily with the same theme. In this case, people will get bored of Kubrick theme if the theme is used for a long time.

Custom theme is created to make blogosphere merrier with bright hues and pictures. If everyone is using Kubrick theme for WordPress sites, reading blog is going to be so boring since you will be looking at the same layout over and over again. Therefore, custom themes are the best solution to re-create websites with a dash of personalization and attitude.

Creating new themes out of sheer enjoyment seems to be popular for people who have basic HTML, CSS and Photoshop skills. More people are utilizing their talents to customize their own sites. Sometimes it is not about reputation, people do enjoy being creative. Using only Kubrick theme in websites only makes your creativity stagnant.

People also download many themes at the same time to keep in case they want to test which theme suit their blogs the best. Unlike Kubrick theme, custom themes can be studied and reproduce to create new and better designs. Even if you are IT illiterate, there are always free design websites that give a variety of designs to be chosen. To take your Wordpress website to a higher level, you can either choose to hire professionals to design theme of your choice or download limited version of designs form paid websites.

In conclusion, we live in a world where illustration and graphics matter. Kubrick theme used to be the trendiest thing until we discover custom themes.

Blog Posting Tutorial

Blog Posting Tutorial

When you decide to start a blog the most important thing you need to do is post to your blog and often it requires daily posts in order to keep up with readers needs. Most people who blog feel that they can skip a few things when posting blog posts in order to make the process quicker, but in fact it only hurts your content if you don’t spend the time posting it properly. It can take a mere ten minutes to post to your blog once you’ve gotten the article written and you should make sure you spend the time it takes to post effectively. Posting effectively means taking the time to add features that most people don’t spend the time doing. Some are simple and you may already do them which would be great, but if you don’t already utilize these options then you should implement them immediately.

There are a few things you should always do when posting new blog posts and I’m going to discuss those with you right now in case you don’t already know what needs done. The first thing and most obvious thing are to make unique descriptions and use unique keywords for every post. I know the option is available on the newest update of Wordpress to simply use old keywords and descriptions but then the SE will read it as the same as other posts and will hurt your rankings. This is obvious and most people already do use unique titles, descriptions and keywords so I won’t stay in this one too long just make sure you take the time to make your blog posts including the titles, keywords and descriptions.

Apart from the obvious that was stated above you should also make your blog posts attractive and do this you simply need to make some minor adjustments to the formatting of your post. Millions of people use default formatting and font which is fine, but if you want to stand out then make sure you do by creating attractive posts. Begin by making sure your content flows well and that there aren’t too many big paragraphs. People prefer reading through smaller paragraphs then longer ones so it’s clear that you should make sure your paragraphs aren’t too long. You should also use sub-headings for your posts and make them in bold so they pop, also take time thinking of the sub-headings because since there in bold it’ll be some of the first text read by everyone who visits the page. The next thing you need to do is change the font so that it’s more attractive then the default font. Also enlarge the font depending on how your theme displays the font because if it’s too small your posts will be harder to read as well as look smaller. Finally you should add a picture or two and incorporate them into the post, meaning make them aligned so that they fit with the content. Don’t just post two pictures at the bottom of the posts because that just makes it look rushed and doesn’t really add any real value to the post.

If you can manage to do this every time you make a post on your blog then I have no doubts in my mind that you will have a great blog filled with visitors. Content is also preached to be king and well if that’s the case then you need to make sure you’re doing your part to make sure your content is the best it can be. If you follow the steps above then sometimes poor writing can even become more attractive and therefore popular. I suggest taking time to write the content so that it’s not poor, but nonetheless if you follow the tips above you’ll have much more success at blogging and you’ll stand out more to the crowd.

Blog Posting Networks

Blog Posting Networks

There are plenty of blog posting networks out there now and over the past couple years they have made people thousands of dollars. Blogging has become a great way for advertisers to advertise to a targeted market and many companies are taking advantage of this. Basically a blog posting network is a middle man between the blogger and the advertiser.

The network works on finding advertisers for their network marketplace and then as a blogger you can sign-up to the network and apply for jobs from the marketplace. There are some big networks out there already that offer quite a larger amount of advertising availabilities so you should be able to find some offers for your blog. Advertisers will post their needs in the marketplace and if your blog meets the requirements then you’ll be able to take on the job. Once you make the post, the network will confirm it’s been made and then in one month they will confirm that the post is still there and pay you for it. Most networks can pay you with either Paypal or a check. Before you can utilize blog posting networks you’ll need a blog with some traffic and preferably some page rank. If you have both of those then you won’t have a problem making a part-time income.

Most blog networks allow the advertiser to establish their own budgets for each blog post, so the price you get paid ranges from $3-$50 depending on how good your blog is. If you have a good blog then you can make $20-$50 per blog post that you make which is a lot of money. Some of the other blog networks out there pay a flat rate for each blog post which is alright, but I prefer working with the networks that don’t set a flat rate. You’ll make more money with the other networks, and there more ethical and not trying to take a huge cut.

Blog post networks don’t become valuable until after you’ve put a few months into blogging, but then you can reap the benefits. Many people have small personal blog networks that run solely off of these blog posting networks and make them a lot of money. If you have the time then the money can be made fairly easily, it just takes hard work and commitment. I want to take some time to give you a little bit of information about some of the popular blog posting networks out there that you should join once you have an aged blog with traffic.

PayPerPost – www.payperpost.com

This is by far the most popular blog posting network out there and the busiest. There are always hundreds of opportunities and if your blog is good enough then you’ll be able to do a lot of them. They pay new members $20 to do an introduction post onto their blog, and then you get paid by the advertisers for each post you do. They pay on a monthly basis and the easiest and quickest way to get paid is through Paypal.

PayU2Blog – www.payu2blog.com

This network is coming along and they have quite a few offers. They simply email you when they have a job that fits your blog and then they pay you on a monthly basis. Many people have found this network be good for a couple months and then the offers die down, but you can easily make a few hundred dollars in a few months doing the offers that they do have.

Smorty – www.smorty.com

Smorty is a well established pay per post network and they have been around for awhile now and I don’t think you need to worry about them going anywhere. They have a knack for attracting advertisers and therefore also have some awesome blogs in their networks arsenal. Smorty always pays it’s bloggers on time and they offer decent compensation for your work.

ReviewMe – www.reviewme.com

ReviewMe is one of the biggest marketplaces and there are tons of offers in the marketplace. They have a strong foothold in the marketplace and a long list of bloggers ready to make money. They attract some of the highest paying advertisers in the blogging industry and therefore have tons of bloggers looking for opportunities from them. If you have a good blog then you can easily make a part-time income with this network.

SponsoredReview – www.sponsoredreview.com

This is the last network that is on this list and should be all you need. This network has some high paying opportunities and although they don’t have the biggest marketplace you get paid almost twice as much here on average. I recommend this network highly if you’re serious about writing sponsored blog posts.

These five pay per post networks are plenty enough to get you into the world of blog post networks and you should be able to get going immediately pending you have a blog. If you already have a blog then you can join today and get paid within the next thirty days for your first few reviews. There is a lot of money spent in advertising dollars online so grab your piece of the pie today by writing sponsored reviews.

Dreamweaver/Dreamweaver Create Data Driven Pages.txt

Dreamweaver </p> <p>Dreamweaver: Create Data Driven Pages</p> <p>Macromedia recently released its new version of the Dreamweaver tool, a<br /> tool called Dreamweaver MX 2004. This tool helps to create pages that<br /> essentially carry a lot of data and text with themselves and hence carry<br /> various requirements before one can actually begin putting them into<br /> shape. </p> <p>Dreamweaver MX requires you to put some efforts for some bits and bobs as<br /> these are to be in order and are to be set up for your environment. This<br /> is different as compared to the earlier version.</p> <p>Requirements for the Program:<br /> Web Server:<br /> Free web server software are available and they can also be easily<br /> downloaded from internet. This free software should be run on your<br /> computer for development. These software come for free and do not require<br /> any additional installation cost or so.</p> <p>Hence it can be easily run without spending a single penny</p> <p>Web server is needed to create sites using Dreamweaver MX and other five<br /> main technologies. These five technologies comprise of ASP, ASP.NET, JSP,<br /> PHP and ColdFusion.</p> <p>All of these system technologies require processing to be done on them<br /> which can be doe only by using a web server. Hence a web server is a must<br /> to have. This feature of Dreamweaver MX is the major differentiator from<br /> other versions or similar functions available in market. </p> <p>For a beginner, starting work with ASP can be the best as it s the most<br /> commonly used technology. For ASP users, web server comes free along with<br /> Windows. However, it needs to get installed. For NT users, Windows 2000<br /> Pro or Windows XP Pro is the web server to be used. This can be installed<br /> through a CD. </p> <p>Database:<br /> Database is nothing but bunch of information put together for your web<br /> pages. It can be simple and can be a CSV file. It can also be complex and<br /> can be a SQL file. All depends upon your requirement. For creating a<br /> small database, one can simply use Microsoft Access.</p> <p>Basic knowledge would be required in the given field. One can browse the<br /> internet for this or can read lot of available books on the related<br /> topics.</p> <p>Systems Connection to Database:<br /> A connection system needs to be put into place so as to connect the web<br /> server with the created database on your personal computer or machine.<br /> This will help you to define the location of database and apply simple<br /> rules on how the server should connect to the given database.</p> <p>You can lay rules for how the database should be treated. </p> <p>Different methods of making connection are available. However, the most<br /> commonly used of them are system DSN (Data Source Name). Using a latest<br /> available version of the MDAC from Microsoft?s site can make things easy<br /> for you.</p> <p><a href="http://www.wamembers.com/amember/go.php?r=205&i=b3"><img src="http://www.wamembers.com/images/Banners/wa_mem_300x250.jpg" border=0 alt="WA Members Supersonic Membership Program" width=300 height=250></a> <p style='color:#000000; font-size:12px; font-family:Arial; font-weight:normal;'>Dreamweaver/Dreamweaver Create Data Driven Pages.txt</p> <br/><a href='http://www.wpunplugged.com' target='_blank'><img src='./wp-content/plugins/wa_ultimate_signature/images/RandySig.jpg' alt='My Signature' /></a> <br/> <div class="postdata"> <span class="minidate">December 5th, 2009 <!-- by Randy Roedl --></span> | <p>Tags: <a href="http://randy-roedl.com/tag/code/" rel="tag">code</a>, <a href="http://randy-roedl.com/tag/dreamweaver/" rel="tag">dreamweaver</a>, <a href="http://randy-roedl.com/tag/html/" rel="tag">html</a>, <a href="http://randy-roedl.com/tag/php/" rel="tag">php</a></p></div> </div><br/><br/><br/> </div> <div class="post"> <div><h1 class="posttitle" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #999999; padding-bottom: 7px;" id="post-1497"><a href="http://randy-roedl.com/dreamweaverdreamweaver-creating-a-site-profile-txt/" rel="bookmark" title="Permanent Link to Dreamweaver/Dreamweaver Creating A Site Profile.txt">Dreamweaver/Dreamweaver Creating A Site Profile.txt</a></h1><div class="postdata"><span class="category"><a href="http://randy-roedl.com/category/blog-beginning/" title="View all posts in Blog Beginning" rel="category tag">Blog Beginning</a>, <a href="http://randy-roedl.com/category/blog-platform/" title="View all posts in Blog Platform" rel="category tag">Blog Platform</a>, <a href="http://randy-roedl.com/category/blog-tools/" title="View all posts in Blog Tools" rel="category tag">Blog Tools</a>, <a href="http://randy-roedl.com/category/content/" title="View all posts in Content" rel="category tag">Content</a>, <a href="http://randy-roedl.com/category/plugins/" title="View all posts in Plugins" rel="category tag">Plugins</a>, <a href="http://randy-roedl.com/category/seo/" title="View all posts in SEO" rel="category tag">SEO</a>, <a href="http://randy-roedl.com/category/traffic/" title="View all posts in Traffic" rel="category tag">Traffic</a></span> <span class="comments"><a href="http://randy-roedl.com/dreamweaverdreamweaver-creating-a-site-profile-txt/#respond" title="Comment on Dreamweaver/Dreamweaver Creating A Site Profile.txt">No Comments »</a></span></div></div> <div class="entry" style="border-bottom: 1px solid #CECECE;"> <p style='color:#000000; font-size:12px; font-family:Arial; font-weight:normal;'>Dreamweaver/Dreamweaver Creating A Site Profile.txt</p> <p>Dreamweaver <endnote><head> <meta> <title></p> <p>Dreamweaver: Creating A Site Profile</p> <p>To create any working or functional profile on Dreamweaver one needs to<br /> have access to a defined and consistent web hosting service. Availability<br /> of a domain name can be an added advantage. Creating a site can help<br /> develop and attract business for a company.</p> <p>Creating a site profile:<br /> ? Go to the top menu on the Dreamweaver document<br /> ? Choose site and then later on select a new site option to open a new<br /> site</p> <p>Creating beginners profile:<br /> ? Go to the ‘basic’ tab in the Dreamweaver page<br /> ? Use the profile creating wizard<br /> ? Click on the advanced tab and then choose to complete the site<br /> details<br /> ? The areas to be filled in include ‘Local Info’ and ‘Remote Info’</p> <p>Filling the information: Local Info<br /> This section includes filling in the details of the name of your site,<br /> the folder placed on your hard drive to store the web related files and<br /> pages. </p> <p>Filling the information: Remote Info<br /> This tab allows you to select the connection details i.e. the type of<br /> connection that you have and also allows you to fill in your username and<br /> password. This also helps you in adding the Host Directory on chosen<br /> server.</p> <p>Host directory depends upon the webhost. Generally, it is defined as:<br /> : /public_html/ or /httpdocs/</p> <p>To choose the host directory you should get your details checked with<br /> your web host. Once you are done filling in the details of all the<br /> required fields, you should go on and then simply click the ‘Test’<br /> button. Later you should see that whether the Dreamweaver helps you to<br /> connect to your web server or not. In case of any noticeable error you<br /> should make efforts to locate that what it that is going wrong is and<br /> then keep on trying and testing again.</p> <p>Once you get connected to the server, you can easily create a web page or<br /> several different web pages and then upload them on your website. </p> <p>Dreamweaver allows you to easily manage all this in just one go. It can<br /> help you manage several web pages and host different content at the same<br /> time. After you are sure that your site profile is ready for use and<br /> display to the masses, you can choose the site that you would actually<br /> want to work with. You can go to the drop down menu in the Dreamweaver<br /> software document and do so.</p> <p>This makes you all set for the use of this application and your site. </p> <p>Thus Dreamweaver allows you have an edge over other programs like<br /> Microsoft FrontPage.</p> <p><a href="http://www.wamembers.com/amember/go.php?r=205&i=b3"><img src="http://www.wamembers.com/images/Banners/wa_mem_300x250.jpg" border=0 alt="WA Members Supersonic Membership Program" width=300 height=250></a> <p style='color:#000000; font-size:12px; font-family:Arial; font-weight:normal;'>Dreamweaver/Dreamweaver Creating A Site Profile.txt</p> <br/><a href='http://www.wpunplugged.com' target='_blank'><img src='./wp-content/plugins/wa_ultimate_signature/images/RandySig.jpg' alt='My Signature' /></a> <br/> <div class="postdata"> <span class="minidate">November 30th, 2009 <!-- by Randy Roedl --></span> | <p>Tags: <a href="http://randy-roedl.com/tag/code/" rel="tag">code</a>, <a href="http://randy-roedl.com/tag/dreamweaver/" rel="tag">dreamweaver</a>, <a href="http://randy-roedl.com/tag/html/" rel="tag">html</a>, <a href="http://randy-roedl.com/tag/php/" rel="tag">php</a></p></div> </div><br/><br/><br/> </div> <div class="post"> <div><h1 class="posttitle" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #999999; padding-bottom: 7px;" id="post-1571"><a href="http://randy-roedl.com/benefits-of-running-a-contest-on-your-blog/" rel="bookmark" title="Permanent Link to Benefits of Running a Contest on your Blog">Benefits of Running a Contest on your Blog</a></h1><div class="postdata"><span class="category"><a href="http://randy-roedl.com/category/blog-business/" title="View all posts in Blog Business" rel="category tag">Blog Business</a>, <a href="http://randy-roedl.com/category/blog-platform/" title="View all posts in Blog Platform" rel="category tag">Blog Platform</a>, <a href="http://randy-roedl.com/category/blog-tools/" title="View all posts in Blog Tools" rel="category tag">Blog Tools</a>, <a href="http://randy-roedl.com/category/blogging/" title="View all posts in Blogging" rel="category tag">Blogging</a></span> <span class="comments"><a href="http://randy-roedl.com/benefits-of-running-a-contest-on-your-blog/#respond" title="Comment on Benefits of Running a Contest on your Blog">No Comments »</a></span></div></div> <div class="entry" style="border-bottom: 1px solid #CECECE;"> <p>Benefits of Running a Contest on your Blog</p> <p>There are numerous benefits as to why you should run a contest on your blog and we’re going too look at all of those benefits throughout this article. The most obvious reason is too increase your traffic and reader interactivity with your blog. Before you can benefit from running a contest on your blog you’ll need to know how to run a successful contest.</p> <p>The first thing you need to do is organize your contest which is one of the most important steps. Make sure you have everything organized from the actual contest to the prizes and don’t leave anything out so that there are no surprises once you begin the contest. One thing you need to remember is that once you start your contest you need to fulfill the contest or else your blog readers will be very upset and usually never come back to your blog. Some will even bad mouth your blog so never start a contest without finishing it. I would recommend you buy the prizes for your contest once you have it planned so that you have them ready for when the contest is over.</p> <p>Once the contest is planned out and you’re organized enough to run it you will need to start drawing in people to enter the contest. You need to get the word out about your contest to as many people as you can and with the social networks online today it shouldn’t be hard. You can use the social networking websites and any forums based around your blogs niche for finding people to enter your contest. You should start finding people to enter the contest well before the actual contest so that this way more people will have the chance to hear about the contest and join in on it. </p> <p>When you run a contest on your blog the prizes don’t need to be anything huge either to draw in big traffic it should be related to your blog though. For instance if you have a video game blog then you’ll want to get some video games as prizes as this is directly related to your blog niche. </p> <p>Now that you have some idea about running your own contest on your blog we’ll briefly look at the benefits of running a contest on your blog. There are plenty of benefits for running a contest on your blog and here are some of them.</p> <p>•    Increased Readership<br /> •    Increased Blog Activity<br /> •    Exposure from other Blogs<br /> •    Traffic Spikes during Contest</p> <p>The main reason to run a contest is to get people on your blog and once there on your blog then you need to convince them through your content that they should stay. If they stay then you’ve done your job. You should run a few small contests on your blog to see how well they do and see if your return visitor increases at all. If your visitors do increase start running larger contests to see if you can’t keep the same conversions.</p> <p>I run contests on my blog all the time and usually have one at least every month. This keeps the readers on my blog active and interested with what’s going on with the blog. Sometimes the prizes can cost next to nothing, but it still generates lots of traffic and comments. Try running some contests on your blog and see if it helps increase your current readership. <br />  </p> <br/><a href='http://www.wpunplugged.com' target='_blank'><img src='./wp-content/plugins/wa_ultimate_signature/images/RandySig.jpg' alt='My Signature' /></a> <br/> <div class="postdata"> <span class="minidate">November 29th, 2009 <!-- by Randy Roedl --></span> | <p>Tags: <a href="http://randy-roedl.com/tag/blogger/" rel="tag">blogger</a>, <a href="http://randy-roedl.com/tag/blogs/" rel="tag">Blogs</a>, <a href="http://randy-roedl.com/tag/marketing/" rel="tag">marketing</a>, <a href="http://randy-roedl.com/tag/tips-and-tricks/" rel="tag">tips and tricks</a></p></div> </div><br/><br/><br/> </div> <div class="post"> <div><h1 class="posttitle" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #999999; padding-bottom: 7px;" id="post-1496"><a href="http://randy-roedl.com/dreamweaverdreamweaver-creating-better-sites-txt/" rel="bookmark" title="Permanent Link to Dreamweaver/Dreamweaver Creating Better Sites.txt">Dreamweaver/Dreamweaver Creating Better Sites.txt</a></h1><div class="postdata"><span class="category"><a href="http://randy-roedl.com/category/blog-beginning/" title="View all posts in Blog Beginning" rel="category tag">Blog Beginning</a>, <a href="http://randy-roedl.com/category/blog-platform/" title="View all posts in Blog Platform" rel="category tag">Blog Platform</a>, <a href="http://randy-roedl.com/category/blog-tools/" title="View all posts in Blog Tools" rel="category tag">Blog Tools</a>, <a href="http://randy-roedl.com/category/content/" title="View all posts in Content" rel="category tag">Content</a>, <a href="http://randy-roedl.com/category/plugins/" title="View all posts in Plugins" rel="category tag">Plugins</a>, <a href="http://randy-roedl.com/category/seo/" title="View all posts in SEO" rel="category tag">SEO</a>, <a href="http://randy-roedl.com/category/traffic/" title="View all posts in Traffic" rel="category tag">Traffic</a></span> <span class="comments"><a href="http://randy-roedl.com/dreamweaverdreamweaver-creating-better-sites-txt/#respond" title="Comment on Dreamweaver/Dreamweaver Creating Better Sites.txt">No Comments »</a></span></div></div> <div class="entry" style="border-bottom: 1px solid #CECECE;"> <p style='color:#000000; font-size:12px; font-family:Arial; font-weight:normal;'>Dreamweaver/Dreamweaver Creating Better Sites.txt</p> <p>Dreamweaver <endnote><head> <meta> <title></p> <p>Dreamweaver: Creating Better Sites</p> <p>Online trade and commerce is picking up and is increasingly accounting<br /> for more and more company?s revenue. They help you to do away with tedious and time consuming job of<br /> manually editing the web content for each individual page of you website.<br /> This template has to be created just once and then can later be applied<br /> to all of the remaining pages for your website. </p> <p>Making amendments is also easy with the use of dreamweaver templates.<br /> Alterations can be made to each and every page altogether and pages can<br /> be updated once changes are done on one page. All this is automated and<br /> applies to all the pages based upon the formed template. And they are<br /> automatically applied to all of the pages that are based on your template.</p> <p>Using the template:<br /> Using a dreamweaver template is a simple two step act:<br /> ? First step is to create a template based upon your requirements<br /> ? Second step is to instantiate the template into an actual web<br /> document</p> <p>Deciding when to use a template:<br /> Generally a template should be applied only when you have a group or<br /> bunch of web pages to be done or for web pages where you need to have<br /> some basic common characteristics.</p> <p>For example, you can use a template to have a common background for all<br /> the pages, you can have same columnar format or also a common menu bar<br /> for all the pages and content. Customization can be applied at some<br /> places. </p> <p>Populating the Template<br /> Following steps should be used to populate a Dreamweaver template:<br /> ? Add content to the template depending upon the type of information<br /> that you would like to have on your page</p> <p>? Mark the content to be edited in the template. You can create a<br /> table and then may be only the top column or graphic can be edited. This<br /> can be done in the following manner:</p> <p>o Select and hold the central cell in the center most row of the table<br /> and then click the templates menu from the ?common bar?. Further clicking<br /> the edit region command can help you modify and customize the table<br /> content. You can enter new name in the new pop-up window that comes up.</p> <p>New templates can be designed and these can have editable region which<br /> can be saved to make any changes in future.</p> <p><a href="http://www.wamembers.com/amember/go.php?r=205&i=b3"><img src="http://www.wamembers.com/images/Banners/wa_mem_300x250.jpg" border=0 alt="WA Members Supersonic Membership Program" width=300 height=250></a> <p style='color:#000000; font-size:12px; font-family:Arial; font-weight:normal;'>Dreamweaver/Dreamweaver Creating Better Sites.txt</p> <br/><a href='http://www.wpunplugged.com' target='_blank'><img src='./wp-content/plugins/wa_ultimate_signature/images/RandySig.jpg' alt='My Signature' /></a> <br/> <div class="postdata"> <span class="minidate">November 25th, 2009 <!-- by Randy Roedl --></span> | <p>Tags: <a href="http://randy-roedl.com/tag/code/" rel="tag">code</a>, <a href="http://randy-roedl.com/tag/dreamweaver/" rel="tag">dreamweaver</a>, <a href="http://randy-roedl.com/tag/html/" rel="tag">html</a>, <a href="http://randy-roedl.com/tag/php/" rel="tag">php</a></p></div> </div><br/><br/><br/> </div> <div class="post"> <div><h1 class="posttitle" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #999999; padding-bottom: 7px;" id="post-1569"><a href="http://randy-roedl.com/benefits-of-having-more-then-one-blog-in-the-same-niche/" rel="bookmark" title="Permanent Link to Benefits of Having More Then One Blog in the Same Niche">Benefits of Having More Then One Blog in the Same Niche</a></h1><div class="postdata"><span class="category"><a href="http://randy-roedl.com/category/blog-tools/" title="View all posts in Blog Tools" rel="category tag">Blog Tools</a>, <a href="http://randy-roedl.com/category/blogging/" title="View all posts in Blogging" rel="category tag">Blogging</a>, <a href="http://randy-roedl.com/category/blogs/" title="View all posts in Blogs" rel="category tag">Blogs</a>, <a href="http://randy-roedl.com/category/niche/" title="View all posts in Niche" rel="category tag">Niche</a></span> <span class="comments"><a href="http://randy-roedl.com/benefits-of-having-more-then-one-blog-in-the-same-niche/#respond" title="Comment on Benefits of Having More Then One Blog in the Same Niche">No Comments »</a></span></div></div> <div class="entry" style="border-bottom: 1px solid #CECECE;"> <p>Benefits of Having More Then One Blog in the Same Niche</p> <p>There are many people who have blogs in the same niche and many people own multiple blogs in the same niche and there is a reason for this. The most obvious reason is that you’ll make more money from having more blogs, and this is true but it takes more work. You need to be prepared to spend a lot of time on your blogs and once you start opening multiple blogs your workload starts doubling and tripling. The advantage of making your blogs in the same niche is that you’ll be able to write content and do your promotion at the same time for every blog. If you had blogs spread across different niches then your marketing and promotion would need to be different for each niche most likely which means you wouldn’t have enough time to properly run the blogs and make them successful. If you run the blogs in the same niche then the promotion and marketing can be done at the same time for the blogs and although it will take a bit longer to submit everything each day it could really boost your revenue. Ideally you’d target different keywords for each blog because there is no point competing with yourself for keywords, and there are enough keywords in every niche that it should never come down to you needing to optimize a blog for keywords that you’ve already optimized on another blog. Having multiple blogs can have many benefits down the road and we’ll talk about some of them throughout the rest of this article.</p> <p>More Blogs = More Profit</p> <p>It’s simple to say that multiple blogs can earn more money, there is an argument that one big blog could earn more, but more webmasters say multiple blogs makes more profit and also makes promotion easier. You should build one blog at first though and let it get traffic going before making other blogs, if you do this then you should be able to send traffic from the flagship blog to the new blogs you create over time.</p> <p>Interlinking</p> <p>Pending you’ve spent the few bucks it costs for dedicated IP’s you can interlink your blogs. Make sure the blogs are on their on IP though and if possible own hosting plan. I say this because if you’re caught interlinking blogs on the same IP then you may get de-indexed from Google which would be horrible. Interlinking your blogs is what makes it a network though and traffic can flow from one blog to the next. Ideally that is what you want and why you should target different areas of the niche with each new blog you create in the network.</p> <p>Owning the Niche</p> <p>Although you’ve already gotten a niche blog for one topic you could always start creating blogs in the same general niche but using different niches in that general niche. For instance you could blogs for all the celebrities you like and then interlink them together and make a niche network. You’ll begin to own the niche with many powerful blogs and can make a lot of money through this method.</p> <p>Having blogs in the same niche is very beneficial and it can also lead to more money down the road. If you have ten decent blogs compared to one good blog you’ll usually make more revenue on the multiple blogs and when it comes time to sell them you’ll make more typically as well. Unless you have a blog that is a complete authority in the topic then going with multiple niche blogs is a wiser decision. You can then also sell only apart of your niche blog network and you have the option then to keep some of the revenue coming in monthly and also selling a piece of the network for quick cash. Niche blogs I feel dominate general blogs, especially nowadays with there being millions of blogs on the internet now.</p> <p> </p> <br/><a href='http://www.wpunplugged.com' target='_blank'><img src='./wp-content/plugins/wa_ultimate_signature/images/RandySig.jpg' alt='My Signature' /></a> <br/> <div class="postdata"> <span class="minidate">November 24th, 2009 <!-- by Randy Roedl --></span> | <p>Tags: <a href="http://randy-roedl.com/tag/blogger/" rel="tag">blogger</a>, <a href="http://randy-roedl.com/tag/blogging/" rel="tag">Blogging</a>, <a href="http://randy-roedl.com/tag/blogs/" rel="tag">Blogs</a>, <a href="http://randy-roedl.com/tag/niche/" rel="tag">Niche</a></p></div> </div><br/><br/><br/> </div> <div class="post"> <div><h1 class="posttitle" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #999999; padding-bottom: 7px;" id="post-1567"><a href="http://randy-roedl.com/become-an-active-member-in-the-blogosphere/" rel="bookmark" title="Permanent Link to Become an Active Member in the Blogosphere">Become an Active Member in the Blogosphere</a></h1><div class="postdata"><span class="category"><a href="http://randy-roedl.com/category/blog-tools/" title="View all posts in Blog Tools" rel="category tag">Blog Tools</a>, <a href="http://randy-roedl.com/category/blogging/" title="View all posts in Blogging" rel="category tag">Blogging</a>, <a href="http://randy-roedl.com/category/blogs/" title="View all posts in Blogs" rel="category tag">Blogs</a></span> <span class="comments"><a href="http://randy-roedl.com/become-an-active-member-in-the-blogosphere/#respond" title="Comment on Become an Active Member in the Blogosphere">No Comments »</a></span></div></div> <div class="entry" style="border-bottom: 1px solid #CECECE;"> <p>Become an Active Member in the Blogosphere</p> <p>You’d actually probably be surprised but if you’re an active member in the blogosphere then it will bring you countless amounts of free traffic, and can make your blog more mainstream. There are tons of blogs created and many more created on a daily basis and you need to make sure that if you plan on blogging that you make yourself stand out from the crowd. There are tons of social networking sites for bloggers that can help create a name for yourself and your blog, and the more time you spend on working on networking the better results you’ll see. </p> <p>Don’t expect to get thousands of visitors overnight from a couple conversations, but over time if you consistently use the social networking sites for bloggers then you can gain a following of people, especially if your blog is half-decent. Twitter is probably the most popular network for bloggers right now and it allows bloggers to follow the daily internet lives of other bloggers. Anyone can use the site though and you don’t need to be a blogger which means that many blog readers also use the site to follow the popular bloggers. If you make yourself noticeable on Twitter then chances are more and more people will begin to follow you which simply means they can see whenever you post something new to Twitter.</p> <p>This means you can post a new blog post and then notify everyone on your Twitter about it within seconds which will help gain you a readership. If your knowledge is useful and not just regurgitated nonsense then you will stand a much better shot at retaining the readers that come from the social networking sites.</p> <p>Another way to become active in the blogosphere to benefit your blog is by commenting regularly on different blogs. I always make sure I comment on certain blogs, as then you begin to gain a friendship with the other blogger which can be great for your blog. This can lead into link exchanges, blog post exchanges and even traffic exchanges through numerous methods. The possibilities are endless and the fact is most bloggers like networking with other bloggers to help each other out. All you need to do is make yourself noticeable by commenting on blogs, and obviously you might not be noticed on a blog with hundreds of comments a day but if you comment on semi popular blogs you can become noticed quickly.</p> <p>You can also link to other blogs in your blog posts and they will then notice that they’ve been linked to from your blog. This could end up getting you a link in return and depending on which blog links you back it could bring in huge amounts of traffic.</p> <p>Your best friends are other bloggers when you’re a blogger yourself so make sure you remember that and always be network with other bloggers. Also if you’re asked for help from a fellow blogger you should help them out because you never know what it could lead too. You may end up getting a link from them or even a review from them and it could lead to more traffic. If it’s a service you offer on your blog then you may even get more business from it. Sometimes doing free work leads to higher paying jobs which mean you should always consider doing freebies for some people. If it gets you advertising out of the deal then it’s not working for free anyways, so you need to think of it like this.</p> <p>There is nothing more important I find then becoming friends with other bloggers in your niche, because although there sort of your competition you can still benefit from helping them out. Blog commenting also builds your backlinks so this is the most important thing to do, because even if it leads nowhere you’ll at least be getting some backlinks. The do-follow backlinks help your search engine placements as well, but most bloggers don’t use do-follow. If you find a do-follow blog then you should bookmark it and comment there at least once a day because then you’re guaranteed to be increasing your backlinks everyday which is something that Google and the other search engines love to see.<br />  </p> <br/><a href='http://www.wpunplugged.com' target='_blank'><img src='./wp-content/plugins/wa_ultimate_signature/images/RandySig.jpg' alt='My
